It covers Mao's life and work up to the point of this book's release, inthough it skims over the recent years, barely mentioning the Great Leap Forward and Perhaps some of Mao's other writing has more spice or interest--I'm certainly sad this anthology neglected to include any of his classical poetry, besides a single piece quoted in the /5(2).
